Responsibilities
• Perform unsupervised corrective and preventative maintenance on utility-scale renewable energy assets, plants, and energy storage systems.

• Conduct routine testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including live electrical work.

• Inspect and maintain high voltage systems, including substation collection and distribution systems.

• Recommission renewable energy assets and energy storage systems, performing various tests and evaluations.

• Work with engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Train and oversee lower-level technicians and ensure their competency.

• Conduct site safety assessments and lead daily safety meetings.

• Complete daily maintenance logs and required administrative documentation.

• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to monitor systems and identify performance errors.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum of 2 years of renewable energy experience (Wind, Solar, and/or Battery Energy Storage System).

• Successful completion of the Technician 2 Standard or equivalent experience is required.

• Valid driver's license and enrollment in the DMV pull program.

• Ability to understand, read, write, and speak clearly in English.

• Working knowledge of the National Electric Code and OSHA regulations.
