The Renewable Energy Technician - Solar position at EDF Renewables North America involves conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for wind turbines and photovoltaic power energy storage systems. Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance on wind turbines and utility scale photovoltaic power plants and storage systems.

• Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades to a broad range of equipment in the renewable industry under supervision.

• Complete Job Safety Assessments and apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
,
• Identify and report safety hazards on the job site and suggest improvements.
,
• Participate in the 24-hour/weekly 'On Call' rotation and work outside business hours when needed.
,
• Attend required safety and technical training for the position.
,
• Document completed jobs and implement supply orders.
,
• Complete daily work orders, time tracking, and any other required paperwork.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1 to 2 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Must meet Qualified Electrical Worker standards.
,
• Valid current driver's license and meet organizational requirements to operate motor vehicles.
,
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of wind turbines and photovoltaic power systems.

• Familiarity with CSA Z462 / NFPA 70E and ability to identify appropriate PPE for tasks.
,
• Basic understanding of schematics and ability to use a multi-meter correctly.
,
• Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to understand, read, write, and speak clearly in English.
