Job Description

Molen Services Inc is seeking a Travel Renewable Energy Technician for wind turbine maintenance across the US. Candidates must have SGRE Basic Maintenance Tech certification, electrical troubleshooting experience, and willingness to travel 100%. Responsibilities include commissioning, warranty repairs, and troubleshooting of wind turbines. Applicants need a valid driver’s license, climbing ability, and at least two years of wind turbine experience. The position offers a pay range of $23 to $34 per hour.

Role:

We are looking for a Travel Renewable Energy Technician for various locations across the US.

We are looking for someone who MUST:
• Be at least an SGRE Basic Maintenance Tech (Level 5 +)
• Have a strong electrical and troubleshooting background
• Be familiar with wiring: installation, quality, reading schematics, etc
• Reside in the USA
• Be willing to travel 100%

Responsibilities:
• Perform commissioning tasks of wind turbines following OEM specifications
• Adhere to quality and safety standards of OEM and company's guidelines
• Perform warranty repairs, operations and maintenance of wind turbines (different make and models)
• Evaluate multiple fault records to increase mean time between failures
• Troubleshoot circuits and operate electrical control systems
• Follow up and audit maintenance and troubleshooting activities to ensure work performed to satisfaction
• Perform climbs of +280 feet to perform annual or semi-annual maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair failures, which may occur, and collect data
• Conduct electronic troubleshooting using wire and block diagram schematics
• Work in detailed and efficient manner to solve technical issues and communicate as a team player

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Level 5 Siemens Training or higher
• GWO training
• Technical degree in technical discipline from an accredited institution an advantage
• Qualified Electrical Worker an advantage
• Electrician Certification an advantage
• Commissioning experience with SGRE
• You MUST have Commissioning experience with wind turbines (Siemens, GE, Vestas, etc)
• You MUST have at least 2 years experience with wind turbines. All applicants without wind industry experience will not be considered***
• You MUST possess a valid drivers license and be able to travel in the USA.
• You MUST possess an acceptable driving record
• You MUST possess the ability to climb towers up to 360 ft.
• You MUST be 18 years or older
• You MUST be willing to submit to a background investigation and fit test as part of the selection process

Pay Range: $23 to $34 DOE plus per diem when traveling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
