Our client is seeking a dynamic Renewable Energy Systems Analyst to contribute to the transition towards sustainable energy solutions. This role focuses on evaluating, designing, and optimizing renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and energy storage. You will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, performance modeling, and financial analyses to support project development and implementation. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical background, a deep understanding of energy markets, and a passion for renewable technologies. This position is based in Los Angeles, California, US, offering a hybrid work model that combines remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth analysis of renewable energy project performance, including energy production forecasting and efficiency assessments. Develop and maintain sophisticated simulation models for solar PV, wind turbines, and battery energy storage systems. Perform site assessments and feasibility studies for new renewable energy installations. Analyze market trends, regulatory policies, and economic factors affecting the renewable energy sector. Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and proposals for stakeholders and clients. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system design and integration. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance improvement in existing and proposed projects. Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in the renewable energy industry. Support the business development team with technical expertise during project acquisition phases. Monitor and evaluate the operational performance of installed renewable energy assets. Contribute to the development of long-term energy strategy and planning. Work closely with project managers to ensure technical requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental), Physics, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar, wind, or energy storage systems. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., HOMER, PVSyst, SAM, Python, MATLAB). Familiarity with energy market dynamics, grid integration, and relevant regulations. Excellent report writing and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with project finance and economic modeling is a plus. This hybrid role requires occasional presence in our Los Angeles, California, US office for team meetings and critical project discussions, while offering significant flexibility for remote work.
