Our client is seeking a seasoned Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of solar and wind energy projects in Atlanta, Georgia, US . This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership, and strategic planning to drive projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for managing all phases of project lifecycles, including site selection, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external contractors, utility companies, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include developing project schedules, managing budgets, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. This position demands exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from development to operation. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Oversee site assessment, permitting, and land acquisition processes. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and environmental standards. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including utility companies, suppliers, and local authorities. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Monitor project progress and report on key milestones and performance indicators. Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives. Contribute to business development efforts for new renewable energy projects.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector (solar, wind). Demonstrated experience managing large-scale energy projects from inception to completion. Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and regulatory environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6). Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. PMP certification is a plus.
