Qair’s Liverpool office is seeking two skilled engineers to join our growing team:
• Solar PV Specialist – Focused on yield optimization and system performance.
• Generalist Renewables Engineer – Responsible for tendering, managing Owner’s Engineer (OE), Due Diligence (DD), Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA), and related processes.
Location: Liverpool City Centre Office (hybrid, four days per week in the office)
Hours: Full-time, Mon-Fri
Salary: Competitive
Key Responsibilities
• Develop technical designs from preliminary to detailed levels using industry-standard software, aligned with project development stages.
• Optimize layouts and energy yields based on constraint analyses.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and best practices, incorporating cross-functional feedback.
• Support the preparation of pre- and post-construction documentation.
• Lead or support technical due diligence processes, including liaising with Lenders’ Technical Advisors (LTAs).
• Act as the technical lead for tender and RFQ (Request for Quotation) preparation and evaluation.
• Define and review contract technical requirements (e.g., PAC process), track compliance, and facilitate issue resolution.
• Conduct on-site verification of installation and testing to ensure alignment with design, internal procedures, regulations, and industry standards.
• Oversee grid access and connection approvals.
• Provide technical support for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), including inspections and witnessing tests.
• Manage and evaluate pre-construction technical surveys.
• Lead relationships with Owners' Engineers and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs).
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or a related field).
• Proven experience in the planning and execution of utility-scale solar power projects.
• Proficiency in solar PV design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, PVCase).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system optimization skills.
