Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Project Development & Finance Associate to join its corporate team. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact renewable energy projects across the country, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydrogen, and battery storage. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of law firm experience, with expertise in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts. This is a dynamic, collaborative, and client-facing role, offering the chance to work with leading renewable energy clients.

Location:
• Las Vegas, NV

Duties:
• Provide legal counsel on renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydrogen, and battery storage.
• Draft and negotiate power purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, hedge contracts, equipment supply contracts, construction contracts, and other similar legal documents.
• Assist clients in the development, financing, acquisition, sale, and management of renewable energy projects.
• Advise clients on regulatory, financial, and operational matters related to renewable energy transactions.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate finance transactions within the renewable energy industry.
• Work closely with senior attorneys, gaining hands-on experience and developing expertise in the sector.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, or commercial contracts.
• Experience in the renewable energy sector is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of power purchase agreements, asset/company sale agreements, hedge contracts, construction contracts, and related legal matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to clients.
• Collaborative team player with an eagerness to take on responsibility.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:
• Bar admission in applicable jurisdiction(s) or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:
• Expertise in project development and finance, with a focus on renewable energy transactions.
• Proficient in drafting and negotiating contracts, including power purchase agreements and construction agreements.
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Client-focused with a proven ability to manage complex legal matters.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and with clients directly.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
