J.P. Morgan Chase is hiring a Relationship Banker in Bethlehem, GA. The role involves creating positive client experiences, managing client relationships, and providing financial solutions. As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with hospitality, using modern banking solutions and financial technology alongside friendly, attentive service. You will help acquire, manage, and retain meaningful client relationships and use your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions that address clients’ needs and make their lives easier.
You will put clients first and aim to exceed expectations by delivering attentive, friendly service and creating a welcoming environment. Day-to-day you will manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations. Clear, consultative communication is important: ask questions, listen to understand, and anticipate needs so you can build trust.
This role also involves educating and connecting clients to digital tools such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs so they can bank whenever and however they want. You will be expected to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult effectively on banking solutions, and to collaborate with and connect clients to our team of experts for specialized needs. Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements is required.
You must have at least 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results. Strong communication skills in person and over the phone are essential, as is the ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail. You must be able to operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
Education and licensing expectations include a high school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent. The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, study materials and support provided. You should be able to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred qualifications include a college degree or military equivalent and experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to determining financial responsibility, good character, and fitness for the position. Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration for this position. Continued employment would be contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.
The role also requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorgan. Chase, you will be required to either register on NMLS or update your existing registration to reflect employment with JPMorgan. Chase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter.
