Job Description
EcoLogic Energy Advisors is seeking Registered Energy Advisors in Ottawa, ON, as independent contractors. Candidates must be NRCan Registered, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include conducting EnerGuide energy audits, educating homeowners on energy efficiency, and managing client relationships. The role offers a flexible schedule with virtual office support. Applicants should have reliable transportation and necessary equipment to perform audits.
EcoLogic Energy Advisors is looking for professional, reliable, organized and detail-oriented Registered Energy Advisors in Ottawa.
Experience & Requirements
• NRCan Registered Energy Advisor
• Possess high standards, strong time management skills and the ability to deliver high-quality and accurate work on time and according to established procedures
• Professional and friendly with good client service skills
• Strong English oral and written communication skills (bilingual oral and written skills an asset)
• Good problem-solving skills, including critical thinking and analysis
• Strong memorization skills and meticulous attention-to-detail
• Math (geometry) skills
• Adaptable and capable of working in various weather conditions
• Able to do physically active work such as carrying equipment and climbing ladders
• Able to travel regularly to different job sites within your region
• Good computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) with the ability to learn new software programs, including Sketchup
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license, a good driving record and insurance
• Own equipment, cell phone, printer, computer with Windows operating system
• Willing to undergo a criminal record check (required by NRCan)
Responsibilities
• Perform EnerGuide energy audits on residential homes, including all required data collection, geometry calculations, modelling HOT2000 energy simulations and generating reports for clients
• Educate homeowners on energy consumption in their home and energy efficiency upgrades they can implement to help improve home efficiency, comfort, and environmental performance
• Educate homeowners on potential grants and loans
• Manage client relationships and inquiries
• Upload home energy audits and supporting documents and photos to central system
