About the position
The Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Regional Wildlife Biologist to join our Upper Snake Regional office in Idaho Falls. This position is integral to our mission of preserving, protecting, perpetuating, and managing Idaho's wildlife resources. As a Regional Wildlife Biologist, you will be responsible for implementing the Farm Bill programs and working with private landowners to enhance wildlife habitats and populations across the region. Your role will involve conducting field surveys, analyzing data, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote wildlife conservation efforts. You will also engage with the community to educate and encourage stewardship of Idaho's natural resources. In this position, you will utilize your education and experience in wildlife biology to assess and monitor wildlife populations, develop management plans, and implement conservation strategies. You will work closely with landowners, agricultural producers, and other partners to promote practices that benefit both wildlife and land use.
