About the position

NextEra Energy is seeking a technically skilled leader to manage a portfolio of solar and storage assets in New Mexico. The individual will lead a team of technicians in the daily operations and maintenance of solar and storage assets varying in size and scale. The ideal candidate will live in the region, near El Paso, TX to support the travel schedule. The manager will be responsible for the safety of all personnel and environmental compliance with all required regulatory permits. The individual will be responsible for delivering on key performance indicators including availability, production, and cost. Leaders are expected to collaborate with peers, stakeholders, central organizations support team, vendors, and OEMs for the furtherance of organizational goals. They must ensure all safety, environmental, performance, and budget targets are met while developing and growing the team/business. The role also involves overseeing and approving procurement activities of the site and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance to all Power Generation Division (PGD) operational model processes
,
• Lead by example and emulate the PGD shared values
,
• Ensure all business activities are conducted following corporate policies and are in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal permits, codes, standards, and regulations
,
• Monitor and control budget ensuring targets are met for their region
,
• Oversee and approve procurement activities of the site
,
• Lead, manage, and develop the team within their region
,
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements
• High School Grad / GED

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
,
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field
,
• 5+ years of leadership experience
,
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
