Regional Emission Monitoring Technician – Grand Junction/Rifle/Meeker, CO area
Trihydro, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for an emission monitoring technician. The role is embedded in our Air and Process Team and supports air quality monitoring associated with leak detection and repair (LDAR) programs, as well as other regulatory compliance activities in an industrial setting. The position involves approximately 40-45 hours of work per week and requires up to 30% overnight travel, predominately within CO or UT.
What Regional Emission Monitoring Technicians Do:
Our regional emission monitoring technicians (also called LDAR monitoring technicians) assist our clients in complying with environmental regulations by identifying equipment leaks for repair, thus helping reduce emissions.
Work Environment:
This position consists primarily of field-based work and requires walking and standing for extended periods. Due to the outdoor nature of the role, work occurs in all weather conditions.
This Role May be Right for You if You Have:
• An interest in understanding how natural gas processing facilities operate
• A basic mechanical aptitude
• Experience within an industrial setting (preferred, not required)
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Acceptable written and oral communication skills and a desire to build successful relationships with clients and project team members
• An independent work ethic (can take direction and carry out tasks with minimal supervision)
• An ability to work comfortably at heights
• Acceptable employment history with a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Flexibility/ownership over your schedule (our regional ethanol emissions technicians often enjoy 3-day weekends)
• Work in the great outdoors
• Independent work within a supportive team
• Predictable work/tasks
• Work truck
• Employer-paid overnight hotel accommodations and per diem

Summary pay range: $20-25/hour
