Regenerative Vegetable Farm and Food Hub Apprentice

Young Agrarians is seeking a Regenerative Vegetable Farm and Food Hub Apprentice for Steel Pony Farm in Red Deer, AB. This full-time, seasonal position offers hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, working on an 8-acre market garden. Apprentices will engage in ecological farming, network with peers, and receive mentorship. The role requires a reliable commute or relocation. Pay ranges from CA$15 to CA$25 per hour, with applications closing on April 13, 2025.

Are you ready to jump into farming and make an impact? Steel Pony Farm in Red Deer, Alberta, is looking for an apprentice to join its team and help grow this local food hub enterprise in connecting Central Albertans with fresh, high-quality food.

This 8-acre market garden produces many vegetables using ecological farming methods and supplies a thriving CSA membership, and offers over 250 high-quality, Canadian-sourced products, including eggs, vegetables, dairy, fruit, grains, meat, spices, coffee, and tea to their unique box program.

The Young Agrarians apprenticeships are fully immersive, putting you into the heart of a farm business.
