Job Description

Veolia Environmental Services is hiring a Recycling Operative in Cardiff, UK. The role involves working in a team at a Transfer Station, operating loading shovels, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Candidates should have a valid wheeled loading shovel license and experience in a similar role is preferred. • Work as part of a team in a Transfer Station, adhering to all Health and Safety guidance.
• Use of a loading shovel to push waste into designated waste bays and load waste into vehicles.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of yellow plant.
• Maintaining overall cleanliness of the site.
• Report all service and safety concerns.
• Check equipment and mobile plant before using them.
• Inspecting waste received at the Waste Transfer Station.
• Complete and report the daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance of the Mobile Plant.

Valid Licence for Wheeled Loading shovel
• A good understanding of Health & Safety
• Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Other yellow plant licences would be beneficial.
