Chase Plastics is hiring Recycling Operatives in Brandon, UK. The role involves operating machinery, inspecting equipment, and maintaining a clean workspace to recycle flexible plastics. Candidates should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and have experience in manufacturing. Overview

We are seeking reliable and motivated Recycling Operatives to join our dynamic operations team.

The ideal candidate will be physically fit, and a quick learner. As a Recycling Operative, you will play a crucial role in recycling a range of flexible plastic materials, preventing it from going to landfill, giving it new life and helping to improve our environment by ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Belt feeding material onto recycling lines.

- Operate various types of machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.

- Utilise hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.

- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.

- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety rules.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Requirements

- Ideally candidates will be experienced working in a manufacturing environment

- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively.

- Attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required.

- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and schedules.

- Candidates with prior experience in plastic recycling will be at a distinct advantage
• Mon- Fri (2pm-10pm) late shift
• Mon- Fri (10pm-6am) nigh shift - with 10% extra shift premium

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.33 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
