Position Specific Description
Join NextEra Energy as an RNG Production Technician III at our Champ facility in St. Louis, MO. Responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment within our RNG production facility, you will ensure a steady supply of spec grade feedstock RNG by overseeing compressors, pumps, valving, and other process equipment.
You will conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition, promptly identifying and addressing any issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, tracking, and production activities, while collaborating with the team to maintain a clean, organized work environment. Adherence to all safety protocols and participation in safety meetings and training sessions are also key aspects of this role.
Specific duties include monitoring plant operations, assisting with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment, identifying and resolving problems, ensuring strict adherence to safety and environmental rules, conducting site inspections and audits, performing preventative maintenance, observing gauges and indicators to ensure proper machine function, comprehending and interpreting P&ID’s and SOP’s, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment. Flexibility to work shifts and overtime, as well as operating a forklift to safely move materials within the facility, is required.
Job Overview
The RNG Production Technician III is responsible for the operations portion of plant by monitoring, operating, and maintaining equipment within our RNG production facility. The RNG Production Technician III performs routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition, identifying and addressing any issues promptly. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines. Maintains accurate records of equipment maintenance, tracking, and production activities. Collaborates with the team to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment. Participates in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skillsets.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee plant operations
• Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment
• Clear and concise documentation management
• Maintain communication with plant personnel and management
• Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance
• Ensure plant adheres to safety and environmental rules
• Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action
• Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems
• Conduct area inspections and audits
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• High School Grad / GED
• Experience: 0+ years
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
