About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Chip Passive Design Engineer to join our team at Apple, where you will be part of a group developing RF chips for Apple mobile devices.

Your key responsibilities will include designing on-chip inductors, transformers, capacitors, transmission lines, filters, phase shifters, and couplers, as well as overseeing the process from design to tape-out.

You will work closely with multi-functional teams, including RF design, packaging design, CAD, and process engineering groups.
Key Qualifications
• Demonstrated expertise in electromagnetic theory, microwave engineering, and antenna engineering.
• Proficiency in EM passive designs and familiarity with EM simulation tools such as HFSS, Peakview, EMX, Momentum, or Helic.
• Experience with on-chip EM modeling is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with on-wafer measurement and experience using VNA, TDR, and LCR meters.
• Excellent academic background with relevant industry experience beyond graduate studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Description of Responsibilities
• Electrical and physical design of EM/Microwave components and circuits.
• Collaboration with RF/packaging/CAD/Process engineering teams to architect and develop future RF on-chip passives.
Requirements
