Queens Park Environmental Education Centre Delivery Officer

Ipswich City Council is seeking a Queens Park Environmental Education Centre Delivery Officer to deliver environmental education programs, tours, and events at the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre in Ipswich, Australia. The role involves customer service, volunteer support, and general administration. Candidates should be personable and passionate, ideally with qualifications in environmental science or related fields. This part-time position requires working on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

As the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre Delivery Officer you will be part of the Environment and Sustainability, Education and Awareness Team and support the delivery of public facing education, events and programs at the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre.
• Deliver environmental and resource recovery educational programs including tours of the Nature Centre and facilitating educational sessions for the public, schools and community groups
• Assist in the development and implementation of programs, events and initiatives
• Ensure an exemplary customer experience is provided to visitors to the Queens Park Environmental Education Centre.
• Deliver quality customer service and respond to customer queries.
• Support the day-to-day operations and programming at Queens Park Environmental Education Centre
• Support volunteers
• Undertake general administration to facilitate the delivery of Environmental programs

About you

To be successful in this role you will:
• Be personable, agile and passionate

• Have a year 12 certificate
• Ideally hold relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in environmental science, customer service and event delivery

• Working with Children Check – Issue of Blue Card and Positive Notice Letter (issued by the Queensland Government) or Exemption Card, or ability to obtain one

This is a part time permanent position working Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 8.45 am - 2.15 pm at level 2, $36.89 per hour plus shift allowances and 12.5% superannuation.
