Job Description

About the Role
We are looking for a QHSE Manager to take a strategic lead in driving quality, health & safety, and environmental improvements across the business. This role is critical in shaping and implementing best practices in compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement. Working across multiple industries, including steel and fire-hazardous environments, you will ensure the highest standards are upheld while managing key client relationships and influencing company-wide culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement QHSE strategies to align with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, as well as other relevant legislation.
• Lead risk assessments and hazard analysis across the business.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational safety and efficiency.
• Work closely with major clients, ensuring compliance with their quality and safety expectations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, ensuring the business remains compliant with evolving industry regulations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to internal teams to instill a strong QHSE culture.
• Oversee incident investigation and root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor and report on KPIs, identifying trends and making data-driven decisions.
• Ensure robust training programmes are in place for employees at all levels.
Requirements
• Proven experience in a strategic QHSE role within manufacturing, construction, or a related sector.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards, HSE legislation, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience working within steel, fire-resistant products, or hazardous environments is highly desirable.
• A track record of leading cultural change within an organisation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• NEBOSH or equivalent qualification is preferred.
