About the position

Elevation Solar LLC is seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Chandler, AZ. This full-time position offers a competitive pay range of $24 - $32 per hour and comes with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. The Purchasing Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Manager of Sr Purchasing & Warehouse by coordinating efforts across multiple vendors to ensure successful project outcomes. This role requires a strong background in procurement, logistics, and inventory management, particularly within the solar energy sector. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for planning, purchasing, scheduling, and package sourcing, as well as assisting in inventory management and vendor follow-up. This individual will also partner in the procurement buying process and job costing, managing both new accounts and existing vendor relations. A passion for energy efficiency and excellent leadership skills are essential for success in this role. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Purchasing Coordinator will manage logistics strategies and operations to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. This includes assessing and recommending shipping methods, negotiating rates with vendors, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. The role also involves processing a high volume of invoices and purchase orders, coordinating logistics for commodity procurement activities, and providing regular updates to senior management on project statuses. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in procurement and logistics, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency in procurement software such as NetSuite and Excel. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are also critical for this position.

Responsibilities
• Assisting the Manager, Sr Purchasing & Warehouse with internal planning, including purchasing, manufacturing, packaging sourcing, inventory, and shipping & receiving.

• Inventory reconciliation & adjustment reports.
,
• Managing overall logistics strategy and operations to maximize process efficiency and reduce costs.
,
• Assessing and recommending ideal shipping methods and routing carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications, and costs.
,
• Assisting in negotiating rates with vendors, carriers, and warehouses.
,
• Developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.
,
• Fostering and managing supplier partnerships.
,
• Understanding the procurement/buying process and job costing.
,
• Soliciting, evaluating, and negotiating sub-contractor and supplier quotes.
,
• Processing large volumes of invoices, purchase orders, and sub-contracts while supporting field operations with timely material supply.
,
• Coordinating, managing, and negotiating logistics for commodity procurement activities.
,
• Performing vendor due diligence and vendor management.
,
• Contacting vendors regularly to follow up on job status and negotiate pricing.
,
• Processing and monitoring high volumes of shipping requests.
,
• Meeting with senior management regularly to keep the team updated on project statuses.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or above.
,
• A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience in both Procurement and Logistics.

• Prefer a strong understanding of energy-efficient products and sustainable home improvement solutions.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
,
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using typical procurement and business software such as Fishbowl, NetSuite, Excel, Center, and Concur.

• Ability to analyze data, pricing, and develop actionable plans.
,
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve company objectives.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
