The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is seeking a Public Lands Manager II for a full-time, permanent position in Topeka, KS. This role involves wildlife conservation and management for Region 2 Public Lands, overseeing properties like Shawnee and Osage State Fishing Lakes. Responsibilities include enforcement activities, facility maintenance, budget preparation, and report documentation. The position is supervised by the Public Lands Regional Supervisor.
PUBLIC LANDS MANAGER II – Position #K0227728 This permanent, full-time unclassified position is in the Public Lands Division, Region 2 and is directly supervised by Dustin Mengarelli, Public Lands Regional Supervisor. This position is a professional position in wildlife conservation and management for Region 2 Public Lands. The primary duty station will be the Region 2 Office in Topeka and will be responsible for the following public properties: Shawnee and Osage State Fishing Lakes and the three Kansas River Wildlife Areas. Incumbent will also provide assistance at Perry Reservoir Wildlife Area and at other Region 2 Public Lands properties when needed. Emphasis will be placed on enforcement activities and oversight of maintaining outdoor recreational facilities at assigned State Fishing Lakes and the Kansas River properties during the peak camping season.
