JD Ross Energy is seeking a Project Officer for their renewable energy projects in Sydney or Melbourne. The role involves supporting project teams with administrative tasks, engaging with stakeholders, and assisting in development activities. Candidates should have experience in environmental approvals and renewable energy development, along with strong communication skills. The position offers a competitive salary and starts in mid-2025.
JD Ross Energy are currently looking for a Project Officer to work for one of the leading renewable energy organisations within the utility-scale renewable energy industry in Australia!
• Position: Project Officer
• Location: Melbourne, VIC or Sydney, NSW
• Salary: $competitive + super + bonus
• Start: April/May/June 2025

Responsibilities:
• The role will support the project teams with general administrative activities that are related to development (e.g. support internal project management function; identify landholders, conduct title searches, maintain contact databases; organise drop-in sessions and meetings with key stakeholders etc).
• Supporting projects in the later stages of development (e.g. connection agreements and network access rights; commercial arrangements with government entities and TNSPs; early-stage BD etc);
• Supporting the broader development team (Project Managers “PMs”) with development activities (land acquisition, planning and environment approvals, community engagement etc);
• Gather market intelligence (identifying and tracking competitor projects, interacting with the revenue team).
• Participate in and support neighbour and community engagement activities including organising events, contacting local community members, liaising with stakeholders and documenting consultation efforts
• Assist with the engagement and management of specialist consultants as required, and reviewing draft documentation related to the different project workstreams

Experience:
• Experience and expertise in environmental approvals, planning applications and other development activities
• Personal qualities - organised, self-motivated, collaborative, good at prioritizing and has a high level of attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with the MS Office suite of applications; high level of general computer/online literacy
• Professional, ethical, tolerant, courteous and aligned with the company's values
• Experience in renewable energy development
