APA Group is seeking a Project Financial Modeler for their Electricity Transmission team in Sydney. This full-time role involves developing and maintaining financial models to support project planning and decision-making. Key responsibilities include preparing financial reports, conducting sensitivity analysis, and providing financial analysis for contract negotiations. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Project Financial Modeler to join Electricity Transmission team in Sydney on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Transaction Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models to support the planning, analysis, and decision-making processes for projects within the Electricity Transmission division, one of APA's four strategic pillars.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial viability and success of the projects by accurately forecasting costs, revenues, and financial performance and developing and delivering commercial pricing for large scale bids (>$1bn).

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, presentations, and business cases for internal and external stakeholders, such as investors, lenders, and government agencies via Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs.
• Developing and maintaining complex financial models to evaluate the financial feasibility of the project, including cash flow projections, investment appraisals.
• Conducting sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess the impact of various factors, such as changes in costs, revenues, or market conditions, on the project's financial performance.
• Providing financial analysis and support for contract negotiations, procurement processes, and other project-related activities.
• Utilise and support the maintenance of asset specific models that incorporate operational metrics and KPIs to drive forecasts for revenues, operating expenses, EBITDA and cash flows for ET.

Your background
• Advanced background in financial analysis, modelling, and project finance.
• High proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and financial modelling tools.
• Exceptional understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and investment appraisal techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
