Metro Supply Chain Holdings USA Inc is seeking a Project Manager in Aston Mills, PA, responsible for overseeing projects related to new customer implementations and growth platforms. The role involves managing project scope, budget, schedule, and quality while leading teams and ensuring effective communication. The position requires strong leadership skills and may involve up to 75% travel.

Job Summary
The Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the management and oversight of projects and deliverables that are part of the company's major programs implementing new customers and growth platforms. The PM will be carefully managing the project's scope and change requests, budget, schedule, internal/external staffing, risk, quality, and contractual deliverables in alignment with the PMO's methodologies and guidelines. They will leverage exceptional leadership capabilities and project management expertise to effectively manage the project life cycle taking projects/programs from planning to final implementation and successful completion. This position may require travel up to 75% of the time
RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for managing and leading multiple projects simultaneously using PMO methodology, standards, and governance
• Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, budget, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
• Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk identification and mitigation
• Plan, establish, and manage all aspects while ensuring projects are completed on-time, on-budget, and cost-effective
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, lead and build a multidisciplinary team with a common vision focused on improving customer experience
• Provide formal and informal training, coaching, and mentoring
• Manage contractor/consultant relationships relevant to the project
• Manage and develop assigned resources on the project as part of day-to-day work activities
• Work in a fast-paced project delivery environment collaborating with cross-functional internal and external organizations
• Conduct training as relevant or required to project team, other project managers or wider team
Responsible for project communication including status reporting, risk management, escalation of issues, etc.
• Act as liaison between the project team and upper-level management
• Establish and monitor project controls related to scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality
• Identify issues that need to be resolved during projects and facilitate resolution
• Identify and manage project risk with Project Sponsor and Steering Committee
• Identify, assess, and control risks and plan responses to increase the likelihood of successful completion of projects
• Escalate more complex issues to the Director, PMO for resolution as required
• Responsible for securing acceptance and approval of deliverables from Project Sponsor and Stakeholders
Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed
• Utilizes project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
• Provides leadership and direction to functional teams so that tasks and activities are coordinated for project scope control, quality control, communication management, change control management, risk management, and issue management
• Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risk
Develop presentations, reports, post-mortem, project close-out
• Create and manage the budget
• Ensure all project documents are stored and managed in the project repository
• Perform other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years leading teams in transformation, change management, technical integration, and implementation of project management functions.
• Experience in managing start-up projects, warehousing and WMS experience strongly desired.
• Previous Operations Leadership experience
• Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting and cost control
• Track record of overseeing large transformation programs and timely delivering quality projects.
• Excellent in building strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Extensive leadership experience working with large teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills – experience engaging with executives.
• Customer-facing experience with large enterprise clients. Ability to understand complex solutions and explain them simply and precisely to both a technical and business user is a must.
• Experience leading growing teams through a hands-on and collaborative approach to management.
• A strong understanding of integrations, business processes, or technology designs..
• Experienced in Lean and/ or Six Sigma is a bonus.
• Proven facilitation, negotiation, and influential skills.
• Flexible and self-driven in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Software expert (WMS,TMS, MS office, Smartsheet, Lucidchart - visio, etc.).
• Ability to travel extensively within North America required (i.e <75%)

EDUCATION
• A Bachelor’s Degree in business management with a focus on project management or combination of education and related experience
• PMP designation preferred
