Resource Environmental Solutions is hiring a Project Manager I for their Stream and Wetland Mitigation team, based in Athens, GA, Forsyth, GA, or Nashville, TN. The role involves managing complex environmental restoration projects, developing scopes and schedules, evaluating subcontractor bids, and ensuring project financial viability. Candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in applied sciences or project management.
About the position

RES is seeking a Project Manager I to join our Stream and Wetland Mitigation team, based in Athens, GA, Forsyth, GA, or Nashville, TN. This role is crucial for the successful delivery of large and complex environmental restoration projects, ensuring they are completed on-time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will be an efficient manager with a proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and will serve as a representative of RES in various settings, including community engagements, regulatory discussions, and conferences. In this position, you will support both new and existing projects across all phases. Your responsibilities will include developing project scopes, schedules, and costs, taking into account financial feasibility as well as regulatory and technical requirements. You will evaluate bids from subcontractors, manage subcontractor relationships, and oversee teaming agreements with consultants. Additionally, you will provide quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for their work. Interaction with the project accounting team will be essential, as you will support the revenue recognition process and the delivery of financial reports. This role requires a strong understanding of business financials to ensure project viability and success.

Responsibilities
• Support new and existing projects in all phases.

• Develop project scopes, schedules, and costs based on financial feasibility and regulatory requirements.

• Evaluate bids from subcontractors and manage subcontractor relationships.

• Manage teaming agreements with consultants and provide QA/QC of their work.

• Interact with the project accounting team to support revenue recognition and financial reporting.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (BA/BS).

• 3+ years of progressive experience in applied sciences, engineering, or construction.

• 2+ years of Project Management experience within the 3+ years.

• Understanding of ecological restoration, natural resource evaluation, permitting, and mitigation banking.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in ecological restoration, natural resource evaluation, and permitting.

• Experience as a team lead in applied sciences, engineering, or construction.
,
• Advanced degree or additional qualifications such as certifications (PMP).
