Description

We are currently hiring a Project Manager/Engineer to join the Public Works Division in Burlington, Vermont. Our progressive firm is seeking a licensed civil or environmental engineer with 8 to 20 years of experience who is interested in a team leadership role with growth potential. You will be mentored by the director of the division and will have the opportunity to serve as a mentor to junior engineers.

Skills
• Licensed civil or environmental engineer
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to develop business and build client relationships
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities

Responsibilities
• Provide operational and project management support to the Regional Director
• Manage a variety of civil projects with a focus on water and wastewater
• Lead project teams in preparing conceptual, preliminary, and final designs
• Oversee work quality control, client coordination, and daily operations
• Prepare regulatory permit applications for various projects
• Develop proposals, scopes of work, and project schedules
• Mentor and train junior engineers on project assignments
• Share accountability with other team members in the division

Qualifications
• 8 years of experience in Civil Engineering
• BS/MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Civil or Environmental P.E. license in Vermont, or ability to obtain licensure by reciprocity
• Experience with Vermont sector clients and regulations
• Previous leadership and project management experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
