Job Description

AECOM is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager the Renewable Team within the US Energy Practice. AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.

Our team provides a wide range of services across markets sectors including transmission (substations, overhead and underground transmission systems, generator interconnections, interconnection strategy), renewable generation (Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Wind), power distribution (overhead and underground power systems, EV charging networks, microgrid design, etc.), and next generation energy (hydrogen, fuel cells, electrolyzers, etc.).

We seek a project professional able to manage the design process from the project basis of design stage through the issuance of construction drawings, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders.

This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design, interconnection, electrical equipment and construction processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead matrixed design teams and manage client-approved engineering consultants.

The successful candidate will:
• Use their strong working knowledge of the renewables market and utilities to manage the full life cycle of projects
• Be responsible for design, permitting, construction, community engagement, and establishing/achieving critical project milestones
• Utilize your strong interpersonal, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills, to collaborate and lead project stake holders
• Work closely with the Project Team to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to exceed client’s satisfaction. This includes coordination with team members across the world
• Identify project opportunities early and facilitate go/no-go decisions, determine project fees, write proposals, prepare and lead client presentations, and negotiation of contracts
• Support development and maintenance of business plan; lead and support proposal efforts to support profitable growth
• Enjoy building teams, capturing new work, and growing Client relationships
• Take ownership of internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management.
• Be results-oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration and leadership skills
• Enjoy managing projects that vary in size and complexity in multiple locations

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical Preferred) +4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Project Management experience directly related to renewable engineering projects
• Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects and/or programs with high quality on schedule and within scope and budget

Preferred Qualifications:
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Professional Engineering Licensure (PE)
• +6 Years of relevant experience, including project management program management engineering of renewables
• Experience in managing projects worked in collaborative model environments (e.g. Navisworks)
