About the position

The Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Project Manager at Windstar Cruises is responsible for leading and coordinating initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and reducing energy consumption within the organization. This role involves developing strategies to ensure compliance with sustainability regulations, managing energy-saving projects, and reporting to senior management on progress and compliance. The position plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of energy efficiency both within the company and aboard the fleet.

Responsibilities
• Acts as the champion of sustainability within Windstar Cruises, promoting a culture of energy efficiency.

• Develops the strategy to maintain fleet compliance with sustainability regulations.

• Reports to Senior Management on energy saving activities and sustainability compliance.

• Manage and oversee energy/fuel saving and sustainability projects from planning to execution.

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

• Develops and manages assigned project Capital and R&M budgets.

• Monitor and analyze ship energy and fuel saving data/performance and provide feedback to ship's senior management.

• Visits ships regularly to support efficiency performance and project goals.

• Oversees the work of the Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Data Analyst.

• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in energy efficiency.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
,
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the maritime or energy sector.

• Strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles and technologies.
,
• Experience with renewable energy projects.
,
• Good communication (oral and written) and English language skills.

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels.

• Good planning and organizational skills.

• Ability to develop creative and effective solutions to problems.

• Financial/budget experience and understanding.

• Proficient in MS Office.
