About the position

The Project Manager (Solar/Renewables) at NJR Clean Energy Ventures is responsible for leading the construction and installation of various renewable energy and midstream projects. This role involves overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule, and managing relationships with contractors and stakeholders. The position requires a strong focus on project management, technical oversight, and mentoring of junior staff, contributing to the company's mission of pursuing a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities
• Actively manage the construction of renewable energy and midstream projects.

• Conduct site visits of prospective projects to assess construction viability.

• Observe pre-construction and post-construction site testing for adherence to guidelines.

• Review contracts during negotiation to ensure constructability and compliance with CEV standards.

• Ensure projects are built according to CEV requirements.

• Conduct inspections and manage contractor remediation activities for deficiencies.

• Review and verify contractual payments based on milestone requirements.
,
• Manage maintenance inspections and schedule repairs for renewable energy assets.

• Review electrical and construction plans and provide insights as needed.

• Represent the company and maintain relationships with contractors and property owners.

• Oversee startup, commissioning, and testing for new projects.

• Manage permitting and interconnection processes.
,
• Support the development of renewable energy projects.

• Provide insights into asset management processes.
,
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior management.

• Stay current with technological developments and industry standards.

• Mentor and train less experienced employees.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in solar, construction, renewables, or related field.

• Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects.

• Excellent communication skills for maintaining effective contacts.
