We are hiring a Project Manager with experience managing wind turbine service projects!GEV Wind Power is growing, and we are seeking a skilled Project Manager with experience in managing wind turbine service projects across Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful and timely delivery of projects, meeting key metrics such as safety, quality, cost, and people management. You will also serve as the main point of contact for clients to ensure their expectations are met, while collaborating closely with GEV Operations Coordinators, Safety Department, Field Supervisors, and Business Development teams.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain effective project management processes and control mechanisms to ensure effective delivery and completion of projectsPeriodically travel to jobsites to evaluate project progress and interface with client (approximately 20%+)Facilitate and/or lead effective pre-project planning meetings, daily project monitoring, weekly project reviews, timely mobilization and demobilization, and project close-out meetings and related activitiesPlan project steps, milestones, labor requirements, supply, equipment and material needsEnsure that operational and safety procedures are implemented and followed, in collaboration with Field Safety CoordinatorReview and approve Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and take corrective actionsBuild and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and GEV employeesMonitor and ensure project completion meets customer expectations; ensure that revisions, changes and additions to contracts are properly agreed to and invoicedRegularly communicate project status, obstacles, risks and successes to all stakeholdersEnsure delivery of entire project meets project margin goals and deadlinesEffectively and clearly document project tracking status in GEV systems and create reports as requiredParticipate in various meetings as required or requestedTo be considered, you must meet the minimum requirements:5+ years of experience in the Wind Industry, preferably with service experience2+ years experience in a Project Management roleBachelor's or Associates Degree a plusMust be authorized to live and work in CanadaAvailability to travel to job sites and client offices across Canada for extended periods (up to 20%+ of the time).Must have strong two-way communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and be a strong team playerNeeds to have excellent attention to detail, great organizational skills, and possess the ability to work independentlySolid project financial skills and general business acumenMust be dedicated, responsive and have a professional demeanorValid drivers license, good MVR record and satisfactory background; (must be eligible to drive a rental vehicle)Must have strong computer skills including internet, email and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Project Management tools
