Black & Veatch is seeking a Project Manager for EPC Solar and Renewables in Indianapolis, IN. This mid-level role involves managing utility-scale solar projects (150MW to 350MW) from design to construction, providing technical support, and assisting with proposals. The position requires 25% to 50% travel, with a hybrid work model of 2 days remote and 3 days in-office. The Opportunity
The Project Manager for EPC Solar & Renewables will function in a mid-level project manager capacity. The expectation for this position is that you would be able to hit the ground running on utility-scale Solar EPC projects between 150MW to 350MW. You will own large EPC projects encompassing solar and renewable energy. There is also potential to own projects in other areas of renewable energy such as wind. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Own the bottom-line for EPC projects in the renewable energy space.
• Manage full EPC projects from design through construction.
• Provide technical support for client projects with design review services, design engineering services, and development engineering support.
• Provide proposal support for client projects with technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation support.
Please note: This role has 25% to 50% travel to project and client sites. When not travelling, this role will be hybrid: 2 days per week remote, 3 days per week in-office out of any Black and Veatch office. It is a plus if you are either around the Ohio region or have experience executing projects in Ohio. We are open to assisting with relocation if needed!

The Team
Our Renewables solutions serve our clients to provide study level to full scale EPC execution for renewable generation solutions such as Solar, Wind, and other emerging renewable technologies. As a Project Manager you are the execution hub for our clients and project teams providing leadership and alignment for successful renewable generation projects. BV’s Energy & Process business is driven to meet clients’ rapidly changing infrastructure needs in generation, storage, transmission, and distribution of safe, reliable electric power. Key Responsibilities
• Actively promotes the safety culture.
• Leads project team in all phases of solar and renewable projects from notice-to-proceed to commercial operation.
• Interfaces between the client, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Will work in both a corporate and field environment.
Management Responsibilities
Acts as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individual comprising this team may vary by project.
Preferred Qualifications
• 7+ years of relevant industry experience including utility-scale solar EPC project management.
• Experience managing engineering, procurement, and construction for EPC projects.
• Experience managing construction teams directly in both a direct-hire and union construction environment.
• Experience being the single point-of-contact, including managing the bottom-line, for at least 1 utility-scale solar EPC project from cradle-to-grave.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods of time, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.
