Job Description

Princeton Hydro is seeking a Project Manager – Aquatic Ecologist in Hamilton Township, NJ. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and over 5 years of project management experience in lake and watershed ecology. Responsibilities include managing teams and projects, preparing watershed plans, and conducting ecological studies. Founded in 1998 with the specific mission of providing integrated ecological and engineering consulting services, Princeton Hydro offers mission-driven expertise in natural resource management, water resources engineering, geotechnical design & investigation, and regulatory compliance. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Aquatic Ecologist who is passionate about making a positive impact through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience:
• Bachelors in Environmental Science, Biology, Fisheries, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Environmental Management, Natural Resources, or a related field;
• Professional Project Management experience, with demonstrated ability to manage teams and individuals in addition to projects;
• Professional experience in lake and watershed ecology and management;
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills;
• Possession of a New Jersey Boat Safety Certificate, or a commitment to obtain one within two months of starting the role;
• Possess a valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel to project sites throughout the Mid-atlantic area as needed for project work;
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Demonstrated ability to manage interdisciplinary teams and projects;
• Lake and watershed ecology and management;
• Preparation of EPA 9-element watershed plans;
• Preparation of lake diagnostic-feasibility studies;
• Strong technical writing skills;
• Statistical analysis;
• Watershed pollutant and hydrology modeling;
• Fisheries ecology and management;
• Aquatic plant ecology and management;
• Experience in preparing proposals and grant applications;
• Grant management;
• Public speaking and oral presentations;
