Taylor Hopkinson is hiring a Project Finance Manager in Calgary, Canada, to lead financial strategies for renewable energy projects. The role involves managing financing processes, evaluating bank offers, and preparing financial documentation. Candidates should have over 7 years of finance experience, particularly in renewables, and strong analytical skills. A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration is required. This is a full-time position based in the office.
Opportunity to join a global leader in integrated renewable energy development and operations as a Project Finance Manager in their Calgary office.

Our client is currently seeking a Project Finance Manager to join the team in Calgary, Canada. Reporting to the Global Project Finance Treasury Director, based out of our corporate headquarters in Europe, the Project Finance Manager will drive financial strategies, identify and negotiate with investors on groundbreaking solar projects and play a key role in accelerating the transition to a sustainable future.

Your Role Will Encompass
• Managing the financing process of PV Assets in Alberta and other key markets in Canada and North America.
• Work closely with the Development team in advancing the financing process in line with development and construction timelines of key projects.
• Evaluating Bank offers and Term Sheets in order to optimize financial structure including IRS Hedging.
• Managing complex financial models to analyze debt funding, returns and sensitivity analysis.
• Preparing presentations, Information Memorandums, bank teasers and reports addressed to banks.
• Assessing bankability aspects of project documents (EPC, O&M, PPA) and providing support with quantitative analytical analysis.
• Selecting specialized Advisors and Due Diligence coordination.
• Executing deals including financial close process, CPs satisfaction and drawdowns.
• Administration of Finance Documents, compliance reports, undertakings reporting, and waiver process.
• Internal Reporting.

What you Bring to the Role:
• 7+ years’ proven structure finance experience in a bank, advisory firm, or a large organization with similar responsibilities in Canada; specific experience in the Alberta region will be considered beneficial.
• Proven experience in renewables non-recourse financing processes.
• Loan structuring including project financing documentation, due diligence, and financial close process.
• Investment appraisal & credit analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of legal and accounting principles of non-recourse financing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Administration; a Master’s degree in a related field will be considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team spirit, agility, and cooperation with various internal teams and functions, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office toolset, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
