Job Description

GAI Consultants is seeking a Project Environmental Specialist 2 in Dallas, TX, requiring 12+ years of experience and a Bachelor's in Environmental Sciences. The role involves assisting project managers, managing tasks, and providing oversight on technical studies. General Characteristics

Demonstrates progress in assisting Task Managers and Project Manager as needed on technical aspects of the project; well-rounded in aspects of consulting and the industry.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences orsimilar field of study

Technical Responsibilities

Demonstrates progress in learning specialized knowledge in theenvironmental sciences gained through advanced degree or extensive experience in the field;: Oversight of task managers'; Coordination of project tasks; Reviews project documents; Carries out complex assignments requiring industry-current techniques orprocedures; Agency and subconsultant interface; Focus on data analysis, interpretation, and review; Serves as a peer advisor withregards to area of specialization; mentors juniorstaff.

Project and Task Management

Demonstrates progress inperforming task management.

Management Responsibility

Demonstrates progress in assisting with the supervision oftechnical studies within assigned tasks; Can serve astask manager on small tomedium tasks requiring specialized technical expertise; Maintains GAI's procedures and protocols; Assists with identifying and scoping technical studies required for projects.

Guidance and oversight from Project Managers and task managers in specific environmental areas

Communication Skills

Possess effective oral and written communication skills; interacts well with other staff; interacts with Project and Task Managers and various Department Managerial Staff, interacts with clients on technical issues at regular project meetings.

Travel

50% for field work in TX, LA, NM, and OK. Could be several days at a time.
