Job Description

Tighe & Bond is seeking a Project Environmental Scientist - Wetlands to join their Environment team, working in a hybrid role from any eastern Massachusetts office. Responsibilities include conducting ecological surveys, preparing reports, and coordinating with project teams for permits. Candidates should have at least five years of environmental consulting experience and relevant degrees. The company values employee well-being and offers a supportive and flexible culture.
About the position

As a valuable member of our Environment team, you will join the Wetlands and Ecological Services Group and will work with an experienced team of scientists and engineers across our Northeast offices. You can sit in any of the eastern Massachusetts offices. We offer a hybrid work environment and flexible summer hours. Our Environment group is over 100 strong throughout our Northeast offices. The work we do covers site assessment, remediation, wetland science, regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, and other ways we can support client work with state and local governments, utilities, private clients, industry, colleges, and hospitals. As a Project Wetlands Scientist, you will be doing a combination of field work, report preparation, and permit application writing. You will coordinate with field teams performing ecological and wetlands surveys and construction inspections. You will perform natural resource surveys including wetland delineations and functional assessments, wildlife habitat evaluations and rare species surveys, including soil characterization and plant species identification. You will coordinate with client and project teams for permit requirements and prepare studies and technical reports. You will also be involved in environmental compliance monitoring and participate in public hearings. We are fully committed to the well-being of our employees, communities, and environment. Our inclusive culture is supportive and flexible so everyone can thrive. We genuinely like each other and enjoy events like our annual company-wide summer Lobsterfest, holiday parties, ball games, and other office activities. Giving back is also very important at Tighe & Bond; we demonstrate our commitment by providing multiple scholarships and encouraging employees to earn more PTO by participating in our award-winning Make a Difference community service program.
