Project Engineer

Ampcontrol is seeking a Project Engineer in Kewdale, WA, to provide electrical engineering support across various mining projects. Due to continued growth, Ampcontrol are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Kewdale on a Full-Time Permanent basis. Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead, this role will provide electrical engineering support, direction, and project coordination across a variety of Mining projects.

Key responsibilities include:
• Delivery of electrical engineering services related to customer requirements such as consulting, design, testing, maintenance, installation, and commissioning.
• Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with Project Managers and Service Delivery Leads.
• Interpret drawings and review scopes of work to ensure it is reflected in pricing and project execution.
• Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries.
• Ensure engineered work packages are delivered to Project Managers and the Manufacturing division to the agreed quality and within the scheduled dates.
• Build a knowledge base of each client’s business, organisation and objectives, identify relevant opportunities and build on the relationships formed with the client.

What We're Looking For:
• Tertiary-level Electrical Engineering qualification.
• 3+ years electrical project engineering experience in the mining (or similar resources-based) industry.
• Experience leading technical input into projects and working with major mining clients to Australian standards (desirable).
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, achieving expectations, and fostering positive relations with clients and suppliers.
• A methodical approach, high attention to detail, and willingness to take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work.
• Delivery-focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule.
