Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead our project teams on site and oversee all phases of construction from concept to completion within the Indian context. This role demands a dynamic leader adept at managing complex construction projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget, and adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety, with a keen focus on the nuances of the Indian construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
• Local Compliance:
Ensure projects comply with Indian construction codes, environmental guidelines, and labor laws.
• Team and Stakeholder Management:
Lead diverse project teams and maintain strong relationships with local government bodies, NGOs, and community organizations.
• Quality and Safety Standards:
Implement quality control and safety protocols tailored to Indian standards and practices.
• Budget and Resource Management:
Monitor project costs, utilizing local materials and labor to stay within budget while fostering sustainability.
• Effective Communication:
Utilize multilingual skills for clear communication with team members, stakeholders, and local communities.
• Sustainability Focus:
Incorporate locally sourced sustainable materials and traditional construction techniques.
• Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records as per Indian regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized Indian or international university.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction within the Indian market, with a portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi language
• Familiarity with Indian construction regulations, green building certifications, and sustainability practices.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, with a keen eye for local architectural styles and requirements.
