Our client is a leading UK-based renewable energy developer specialising in the design, build, and operation of Solar PV and Wind Turbine systems. With a fully integrated in-house team, they deliver end-to-end solutions for landowners, SMEs, and large corporates, ensuring a streamlined and innovative approach to project delivery.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Project Manager to join an established planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career within the renewable energy sector.

You will support the planning team across a range of activities, gaining hands-on experience in project development, site feasibility, and planning applications within a fast-growing and impactful industry.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications

Conduct planning research and site feasibility assessments

Support the creation of plans and visual materials using GIS and CAD software

Review and assess sites for wind, solar PV, and battery storage feasibility

Identify and evaluate potential development sites across the UKRequirements

Degree in Planning, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related discipline

Experience using ArcGIS and AutoCAD

Strong analytical, methodical, and process-driven approach

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelDesirable

Knowledge of the renewable energy sector, particularly wind energy

Working towards or holding membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RTPI or IEMA)
