Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
TI EAD SES is looking to hire EHS officer to be placed at our installation and commissioning project sites across India. Candidate will take care of EHS function at site, responsible for strict implementation of Siemens EHS Policy, ensuring adherence to Zero Harm Policy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Implement EHS standards according to Siemens and contract requirements for the project.
• Develop health and safety plans ensuring compliance with legal, customer, and organizational guidelines.
• Implement and monitor EHS Management Systems as per ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, including corporate and customer requirements.
• Participate in EHS core team meetings to identify workplace hazards and establish control measures including but not limited to Electrical works Installation, testing & commissioning), Hot Work, Height Work, Civil Work, Mechanical and manual material handling, confined space, machine safety.
• Guide and train site personnel on EHS practices and safety protocols.
• Manage selection, evaluation, and performance of on-site contractors, including penalty and incentive systems.
• Identify training needs and coordinate EHS training programs across different levels.
• Conduct EHS assessments, identify unsafe acts, conditions, near misses, and ensure prompt corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to the Project Manager and EHS Officers.
• Ensure the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the availability of safety equipment on project sites.
• Maintain EHS reporting and coordinate with internal and external partners on EHS matters.
• Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and compliance with EHS requirements.
• Work with EU, Project management and site management to develop and implement strategies for improving employee safety and reducing risks.
• Prepare and update the EHS legal register and stay updated on changes in EHS laws and regulations.
• Recommend changes to internal standards based on changes in EHS laws and regulations.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• You should have 7-10 years of experience in the construction industry. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in power plants – switchyards, switchgears, drives, turbines, transformers, Electrical balance of Plant (EBOP).
• Full time Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with M. Tech in Industrial Safety or Advanced diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) approved by state technical board /RLI/CLI.
• Excellent Teammate and Key Collaborator skills
• Co-working and Problem-solving Skills; lean & agile methods and validated tools
• Willing to travel and move across India according to the Projects requirements.
