Project Developer (Energy Engineer) - Remote( New England area)

Siemens is seeking a Project Developer (Energy Engineer) for a remote position in the New England area. The role involves collaborating with sales and project managers to create performance-based contracts, conducting facility audits, and developing energy conservation plans. Project Developer Responsibilities include working with sales, energy engineers, and project managers to develop cost-effective performance based contracts for targeted clients. This position conducts facility site visits, analyzes the customers current situation, and produces plans for Facility Improvement Measures

As a Project Developer, you will:
• Perform and supervise preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs) and opportunities.
• Coordinate and lead facility site visits.
• Communicate with outside vendors (Contractors i.e. Electrical Contractors, Mechanical Contractors, General Contractors….) as it pertains to FIMs.
• Assist sales in the identification and qualification of potential performance contracting projects.
• Develop preliminary and final performance contracting proposals. Analyze blueprints and perform site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, energy resiliency, building envelop, process and controls systems to determine facility operational characteristics.
• Apply energy simulation programs to develop energy, water conservation, cooling, and heating load-building models using modeling software.
• Develop design concepts concerning recommended FIMs, including descriptions, savings potential, cost estimates and data to verify FIMs.
• Prepare financial models related to repayment, including Return on Investment (ROI), life cycle costs, and internal rate of return.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related field.
• Demonstrated Experience in Energy – 5+ years
• Demonstrated Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong design build construction development responsibilities desired.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
• Demonstrated Electrical / Mechanical project development will be considered
• Energy industry experience supporting performance-based projects, energy services or commercial / industrial design build experience; 10+ years preferred
• Knowledge of energy supply-side savings, and ability to evaluate savings potential
• Experience with standard ASHRAE energy calculations and IMVP performance assurance methodologies

• The pay range for this position is $140,000 – $175,000 The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
