Job Description

The Project Coordinator (Solar) position at White Construction in Birmingham, AL involves coordinating solar projects on-site across the US, requiring up to 100% travel. OVERVIEW:

As a crucial member of our team, you will play an essential role in coordinating solar projects from inception to successful completion. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the renewable energy revolution!

Location & Travel Details: This is a traveling position (up to 100%) where you will be working onsite at various project locations across the US. Expect to spend an average of 8-20 months at each project site. To support your travel and living expenses, we provide a designated daily per diem, and you will have the chance to return home for rotation from the jobsite. A vehicle allowance will also be offered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate engineering studies and change order requests
• Collaborate with engineers and estimating teams on various projects
• Handle submittals and requests for information
• Work with clients on specifications and technical queries during project planning
• Maintain communication with regional managers regarding project status
• Manage QA/QC processes on projects
• Track job costs and predict revenue streams
• Resolve contract disputes with clients
• Maintain the prime contract with the owner
• Establish job cost control and monthly billing procedures

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Solar or EPC construction industry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Commitment to health and safety principles and practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capability to perform basic calculations and apply algebra and geometry concepts
