Clēnera is seeking a Project Controls Specialist in Boise, ID, responsible for monitoring and reporting on capital project lifecycles. Key tasks include managing project schedules, cost management, invoicing, and collaborating with various departments. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Controls Specialist is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and reporting on all phases of the capital project lifecycle. This role will support estimating, cost and schedule management, invoicing, earned value reporting, and forecasting for each project in the portfolio while partnering closely with various departments across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Maintaining all scheduling data through project schedule software from Development through all Construction phases of a project.
• Determine, and continuously update, schedule to determine the current progress of the project relative to the Critical Path, baseline schedule, and contract. Consult with project teams to create plans to overcome challenges.
• Enter actual start/finish dates and progress percent complete into the project schedules per Project Lead/Project Manager input.
• Support early phase development in producing preliminary schedule assumptions to illustrate key Pre-Construction and Construction milestones.
• Produce executive summary schedules to support reporting for senior leadership, and submit schedule information to various project leaders for reporting.
• Develop three-week look ahead schedules with the assistance of our Project Leads, Project Managers, and EPC subcontractors.
• Create proposals and bid schedules with the help of the Business Development and Construction departments.
• Maintain cash flow projections and track actuals and forecasts against baseline budgets during Pre-Construction and Construction phases.
• Partner with Project Teams to review updated forecasts, identify variances, and perform trend and cash flow analysis.
• Establish financial baselines for projects to report during early phase development, to be updated and maintained throughout the Pre-Construction process.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure vendors are paid on time by receiving invoices, logging actuals, updating forecasts, and assessing variances.
• Develop risk matrices that will quantify risks monetarily by using metrics such as impact, probability, and magnitude.
• Benchmark and organize forecast revisions for historical analysis and reporting against baselines.
• Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
• Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, finance, accounting, business, or related field.
• Technology:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills are highly preferred.
• Skills/Attributes:
• Foundational Excel skills, to include formulas, pivot tables, charts, tables, functions, etc.
• Basic scheduling and/or budgeting acumen.
• Understanding of project risks associated with schedule and cost.
• General understanding of change orders and trends.
• Basic ability to analyze data.
• General understanding cross-functional team workflows.
• Foundational ability to persuade others and gain buy-in.
• Ability to react to ad hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated to work through complex problems and competing priorities, including a high level of detail and organization.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel: 10%
