GEI Consultants is seeking a Project Civil Engineer for their Mount Laurel, NJ office. Responsibilities include assisting with civil site design, stormwater management, utility assessments, and project planning. Candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering and 4 to 10+ years of experience. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to travel to project sites as needed. Your role at GEI.

GEI is expanding and we are seeking a Project Civil Engineer to join our Mount Laurel, New Jersey office. This individual will assist with ongoing field and engineering design efforts related to civil site plan set design, site layout, land grading and drainage, stormwater management design and reporting, utility infrastructure assessment and design, slope stabilization, erosion and sediment control design, access road design, and the development and review of construction plans and specifications for industrial, large utility, higher education, municipal, and private projects.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties
• Assist Project Managers with small to large design projects within technical specialty.
• Support other GEI offices in delivery of professional services.
• Evaluate and analyze collected data and prepare technical reports, letters and memoranda.
• Develop design and construction drawings, technical specifications, bid documents and project schedules.
• Develop and meet project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Develop and maintain client relationships. Represent GEI in communications and conferences pertaining to areas of specialty and other assignments.
• Travel to project sites and other offices as required, including periodic overnight travel.

Minimum Qualifications
• B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering
• 4 to 10+ years of professional experience.
• Engineer-In-Training required, licensed Professional Engineer a plus
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to work well alone and in a team atmosphere with experience supervising, supporting and directing staff and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to assist with building strong client relationships and desire to obtain new business.
• Must be willing to travel on temporary assignments as necessary, including field assignments.
