The Humboldt County Resource Conservation District is hiring a Project Assistant for field restoration work in Eureka, CA. The role involves outdoor labor such as vegetation maintenance and invasive species control at various sites across Humboldt County. This seasonal, full-time position (40 hours/week) is expected to last until mid-October 2025, with a pay rate of $22–24 per hour. The candidate should be available to start by early to mid-May.
Job Announcement - Project Assistant The Humboldt County Resource Conservation District (HCRCD) is hiring a Project Assistant to be part of a small field crew performing vegetation maintenance, monitoring, and reporting activities on CalTrans mitigation sites and performing other ecological restoration activities associated with habitat restoration and agricultural sites across Humboldt County. Working primarily outdoors, this role involves labor-intensive tasks such as planting, invasive species control, and compliance monitoring to meet success criteria. The main office work location is anticipated to be HCRCD’s main Eureka office, however, field sites are throughout Humboldt County. The position is Seasonal (Temporary), Full Time (40 hours per week) with the anticipated end of term being mid-October 2025, with potential for extension.
