Your Opportunity:
At H2Safety Services Inc., we are dedicated to enhancing emergency preparedness and disaster mitigation capabilities within Indigenous communities across Canada. As a Project Administrator in Disaster Mitigation, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing comprehensive emergency management and mitigation initiatives. This role involves detailed coordination, documentation management, risk analysis support, and effective collaboration with Indigenous communities, internal teams, and stakeholders.
You will assist and lead various aspects of disaster mitigation projects, from supporting disaster assessments to overseeing detailed risk management strategies and regulatory compliance. This role is essential to ensuring that Indigenous emergency management initiatives are delivered effectively, sustainably, and culturally appropriately, contributing to community resilience.

What You’ll Do
• Support and coordinate hazard mitigation and emergency preparedness initiatives within Indigenous communities.
• Assist and conduct Hazard, Risk, and Vulnerability Assessments (HRVA).
• Coordinate project logistics, including meetings, workshops, community engagement sessions, and site visits.
• Manage and maintain comprehensive documentation, project records, and compliance files.
• Support the development and implementation of community-specific risk mitigation strategies.
• Track project timelines, monitor budgets, record expenses, and provide financial documentation and reporting.
• Engage and maintain communication with Indigenous community representatives, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Facilitate and coordinate quality assurance processes and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and community protocols.
• Assist with strategic administrative support, mentoring junior staff, and fostering efficient project operations.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Environmental Sciences, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-5+ years of progressive experience in project coordination, administration, emergency management, or hazard mitigation, with increasing responsibility based on experience.
• Completion of Incident Command System (ICS) certifications (100, 200, or 300) preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills for higher-level positions.
• Demonstrated knowledge emergency management principles, and hazard mitigation strategies.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and financial management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact successfully either externally and internally.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Must be able to obtain a Government security clearance.
