WestLand Resources is seeking a Program Lead, Environmental (Biology) in Reno, NV. WestLand is seeking a Program Lead, Environmental (Biology) to add to our Reno team! This position, based out of our Reno office, will support WestLand's biological resource program and related projects across Nevada and into neighboring states and will provide guidance and support to our Project Managers and Field teams. Our environmental consulting practice specializes in environmental planning & permitting, natural resource planning & management, and facility compliance services! WestLand's environmental experts are well versed in city, state, and federal procedures and policies.
What will I be doing?
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members through performance management including conducting performance reviews, identifying appropriate training, and implementing corrective action plans.
• Help identify staffing needs and assist with new employee evaluation and hiring processes.
• Recommend, develop, and schedule staff training programs.
• Develop and manage project scopes, schedule, and budget in alignment with contract terms and conditions.
• Provide support to Environmental Project Managers in developing and managing their projects with strategic guidance and input on approach.
• Develop and/or review technical products to insure they are accurate and of exemplary quality.
• Help to set business development goals and provide recommendations on go/no-go assessments.
• Assist in growing department revenue through business development and process efficiency.
What qualifications are required for this role?
• Master's degree in an environmental field. A bachelor's degree with additional experience may be considered.
• Five (5) or more years of experience working in an environmental or related discipline.
• Two (2) or more years working in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships and generate new clients.
• Expertise in local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations.
• Expertise in managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
• Experience working in a consulting environment preferred.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $138,000 annually.
