Job Description
APA Group is seeking a Program Director, GSP to lead a major transformation program aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and integrating new technologies. This full-time position is based in either Sydney CBD, Brisbane CBD, or Melbourne Southbank. The role involves managing complex projects, engaging with senior stakeholders, and ensuring program governance. Candidates should have experience in large-scale transformations, particularly in infrastructure or energy sectors.

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Program Director GSP to join our Operations team in Sydney CBD, Brisbane CBD or Melbourne Southbank office for 2 years on a full-time basis.
Reporting to General Manager Grid Solutions, you will be responsible for delivering a major transformation program that enhances operational efficiency, integrates new technologies, and drives business-wide change. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our business, working with senior stakeholders to embed innovative solutions and optimise business processes for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex, multi-year technology and business transformation program, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals
• Manage cross-stream co-ordination and escalation, and rigorously apply contingency planning to maintain the program schedule
• Manage external dependencies and risks and contractor performance
• Develop and lead a tight program delivery management process
• Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and external partners, to drive program success
• Ensure adherence to program governance, ensuring risks, dependencies, and financials are managed effectively
• Drive change adoption, ensuring teams are equipped to embrace new ways of working and leverage digital solutions
• Develop and lead high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability across all program streams
About You
• Proven experience leading large-scale technology and business transformation programs, ideally within infrastructure, energy, or utilities sectors
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at executive and board levels
• Expertise in program governance, financial oversight, and risk management
• A track record of successfully delivering technology-driven change and embedding innovative business processes
• Experience working in complex, highly regulated environments is highly desirable
