Production Technician

Green Thumb Industries is seeking a full-time Production Technician in Cottage Grove, WI. The role involves transforming raw cannabis into medicated products, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, packaging, and managing inventory. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, relevant experience, and strong communication skills. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks. Competitive pay ranges from $17.50 to $18 per hour.
The Role

As a Production Technician, you will play a crucial part in transforming raw cannabis flower into our line of medicated products. Under the guidance of management, you will produce, package, and handle products, perform inventory duties, adhere to compliance requirements, and prioritize safety while working in our facility. Responsibilities
• Meet production goals while maintaining focus on safety and quality.
• Produce product according to recipes and SOPs, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Package product in proper containers with accurate labeling to meet state regulations.
• Foster adherence to processing procedures and laboratory protocols.
• Ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
• Maintain quality control throughout the process.
• Document manufacturing methods and maintain records.
• Electronically track packaged products in the state traceability system.
• Manage time efficiently to meet goals while producing quality product.
• Promote good housekeeping habits and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.
• Demonstrate basic organizational skills, communication skills, and proficiency in Windows-based operating software.
• Exercise independent judgment regarding product processing, prioritizing quality and goals.
• Contribute to a positive work environment with a positive attitude and self-motivation.
Qualifications
• High school education or GED; some college or college graduate preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, and/or inventory preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Demonstrate ability to work well in a group and independently, with self-motivation and initiative.
• Show adaptability to changes in policy, procedure, and technique.
• Exhibit personal hygiene and follow health guidelines set forth by GTI.
• Effective communication and listening skills are essential.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with efficiency.
• Will accept constructive criticism and follow instructions.
Additional Requirements
• Valid driver's license or State ID card required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass all required background checks.
• Comply with legal and company regulations for working in the industry.
• Obtain approval from the Cannabis Compliance Board to receive an Agent Card.
Working Conditions
• Regularly required to reach, grasp, bend, stoop, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions.
• Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods while maintaining focus.
• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds with caution when handling product.
• Exposed to allergens such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil daily.

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and location. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
