Job DescriptionJob Description Title: Production Planner Reports to: Procurement & Production Control Manager Status: Full-time Working Hours: 6am - 3pm Working Location: Rockmart, Ga Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Production Planner to support our manufacturing operations during a critical ERP transition from our parent company's platform to NetSuite. This role requires strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills, as well as hands-on NetSuite knowledge. The Production Planner will be expected to quickly learn and operate within the current parent company system, while also preparing for and supporting the implementation and adoption of NetSuite as our long-term platform. This is a key role that bridges day-to-day production needs with long-term system and process improvements, ensuring business continuity throughout the transition. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain production schedules that align with sales orders, demand forecasts, and available resources. Operate effectively in the parent company's current system while simultaneously preparing for the transition to NetSuite. Learn and document current processes to ensure knowledge transfer during the transition. Collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure materials and components are available for production. Create and manage work orders, internal orders, and MRP runs within the current system and NetSuite. Support the ERP transition by validating data, identifying process gaps, and participating in testing and training activities. Monitor production performance, inventory accuracy, and scheduling issues; escalate risks and recommend corrective actions. Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, item codes, and lead times across systems. Develop reports and KPIs in NetSuite to improve visibility into production planning once live. Serve as a liaison between production teams and IT/ERP implementation teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (). 3+ years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong ERP experience required; NetSuite ERP expertise highly . Ability and willingness to learn and work within the parent company's current platform during the transition. Solid understanding of MRP, capacity planning, and production control principles. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP reporting tools. Skills Experience with system transitions or ERP implementations. Background in industrial manufacturing or equipment production. Strong change management and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Physical Demands: Position requires sitting working at a keyboard over 2/3 of time.
