Goterra is a Canberra based Ag-tech startup company building sustainable solutions to the critical global challenges of food waste and climate change. At our headquarters in Hume, we design and build modular robotic infrastructure (MIB) that uses insects to manage food waste. Our diverse, multidisciplinary team has expertise in engineering, manufacturing, software, electronics, agriculture and biology. We're currently looking for casual Product Process Operators to support our growth phase.

YOUR ROLE

The role of a Product Process Operator is to work on the processing, preparation and packaging of Goterra’s byproducts - frass and insect protein, while ensuring all quality control measures are adhered to.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Production and processing of insect by-products in order to produce a high quality customer product
• Packing and shipping of Goterra products and samples to customer orders
• Following Stock control and management
• Adherence to daily maintenance and hygiene tasks procedures
• Ensuring that accurate records are created, stored, managed, and secured per company procedure, Feedsafe and related requirements
• Data collection
• Troubleshooting and general maintenance of processing related and related equipment
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with quality control and safe work practice procedures
• Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Your background and skillsets:
• Experience from a similar role (preferred) in a production or manufacturing environment
• Strong problem solving skills
• Physical ability to undertake tasks associated with the role
• A flexible and adaptable nature with a high level of initiative and ownership
• A quick learner who enjoys working in a team environment
• A passion for environment and sustainability - we are here to help provide a solution for the climate crisis
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• Availability to work either morning or afternoon shift
